We flew to Louisiana last weekend to see James' grandparents. Carson did great in the plane and had so much fun with his Great Grandparents! What a blessing for all of us to be together and create memories. Carson even attended his first craw fish boil, welcome to Cajun country! Yummy!

3 Wheeling

Our neighbors were out riding bikes the other day and once Easton put his bike down, Carson wanted to try and ride it. Since he still has a little while to grow into the two wheel bikes, they got out a couple of tricycles from their attic for Carson to play with. He loves them!! Besides not being able to peddle, steer, look forward or keep both hands on for most of the time, he is a pro!!

The Dallas Aquarium

We thought that Carson was about the right age to go to the Aquarium, so we loaded up on Sunday afternoon and headed to the Dallas Aquarium. Carson loved seeing all of the birds and fish, but I am not sure who enjoyed it more....Carson or me and James!

We had just gotten started on our walk through the exhibit, when this bird flew right up to James and landed on his shoulder. I quickly got the camera out, while Carson watched closely.

Happy Birthday to our sweet friend, Kennedy! We went to 'My Gym' today to help celebrate Kennedy's birthday and Carson had so much fun. It was a little bit like 'Little Gym', where Carson goes on Wednesdays. Lots of mats, balls, things to jump on and off of, things to climb on, etc. This is just the beginning for us, many more parties to come!
We laugh at the photo of Carson and Kennedy, it looks as if he is a little scared of little girls! After she hugged him, the look on his face was priceless. He kept smiling at her and wanted to be next to her, until she was off to do other birthday festivities.

Snow Day

Snow, Snow, and more Snow! It snowed all day on Thursday, Feb. 11. The news said that it hadn't snowed this much in one day since 1978, wow! James had taken Thursday and Friday off and we had plans to fly to Amarillo, needless to say, we did not go.

The first photo: We had driven out to the airport on Friday and wanted to see if the runway was cleared, in case we were able to fly out. Not only could you not see the runway, but the planes that were parked outside in the snow had tipped backward due to the weight of the snow. You can see the wheel up in the first photo.
Second Photo: Carson did not care for the snow. He wouldn't walk out into it on his own, so I placed him on the sidewalk. When he went to walk toward me he fell, since the snow was getting high. He was not happy with the cold snow. He was all bundled up, but did not have gloves, which I am sure had a little to do with him not liking it. Who has toddler gloves in DFW?

We took our first class today at 'The Little Gym' and we had so much fun! It was a small class, which was nice, with only three other little boys. We sang songs, ran around and learned some neat skills on the mats!

I waited 19mos and just couldn't wait any longer, Carson's hair was getting out of control long!! We went to a place that specialized in haircuts for kids and Carson did a great job. We first tried to put him in the chair that looked like a car, but it turned out he was much happier if dad sat with him! I can't believe how much older he looks with a haircut! What a Christmas! All 3 of us ended up at the Doctor's office on Christmas Eve, Carson and I with Bronchitis and James with Pneumonia. My mom and Dwain were down to celebrate and have helped out tremendously. Although, Christmas didn't go quite as planed this year, it was a Wonderful Christmas!!

Great Wolf Lodge

Debra and Lexi were in town this weekend to stay at 'The Great Wolf Lodge'. Carson had so much fun playing with Lexi and is was just great to see them all together. If you haven't been to that hotel, it is quite an experience and something to see. Carson was so worked up that when we got home he was bouncing off the walls and crashed in bed fast!

James has been wanting a new Camera for months now and those of you who know James know that he is more of an instant gratification kind of guy, so this has been pretty hard for him to wait and purchase. I have been so proud of him that he has been able to wait. After having family here over Labor day and seeing Molly's camera up close, it was now time for the Crossno family to move forward on a Camera. Man, was it worth the wait! Everyday Carson is getting better and better about picking up his snack with his fingers and putting them into his mouth. At first, they all went on the floor, then he would rather feed me or the dogs, but today he realized that it was easier to pick them up with his mouth and skip the finger step all together! This is what Gran had to say about the shots that she captured: 'Now these are when Carson was watching that Christain kid channel (Smile - Channel 340). Well, I found out that Carson is a fan of paper. Actually, of the Walmart ad, even though he knows his mom is a Super Target fanatic!!
While I was on the computer I could not keep Carson away from paper that James had on the floor, instead of moving them I was trying to refocus Carson on something else. It didn't matter what I showed him or where I put him, he made his way back to the stack of papers next to the desk. Needless to say, I picked up the papers and left only the one it was OK to eat! Now that this boy is army crawling (He is doing that first for you Michael) my life as I knew it is over!
It was hard to catch him in the act, because every time he sees the camera he frezzes and poses, I don't know where he gets that! :)

Big Boy Bath

Carson has defiantly outgrown the baby bathtub! I quickly learned that he is not quite ready for the big tub though. We have a transition tub on the way! It is an inflatable baby bath tub

that fits inside the tub. I have no idea what our parents did back in the day without all this cool stuff. They have the best things for babies these days....they think of everything! Thank goodness!

Carson has really started to sit up on his own quite well. He can't go from the ground to sitting by himself, but can hold this pose for a good while when you place him sitting on the ground. If he starts to fall over, he has gotten really good at anticipating it and placing his hands on the ground to stop himself. We've had a couple of head bumps, but nothing too bad YET!

I introduced Carson to the 'Sippy Cup' last night at dinner and was amazed at how fast he picked up the concept. I only had to show him one time where to grab it and the rest was history. The only thing we have to work on is tilting the cup upward to get the liquid to come out. He loves it!

It has been a big couple for days around here! Carson turned 7 months old today, his first tooth FINALLY started to cut through yesterday with another one close behind and last night he went to sleep at his normal bedtime, 6:00pm, woke around 9:30pm, had a bottle and then slept until 5:30am!!
